Mtskheta – Remains of towns at this location have been dated to earlier than the year 1000 BC, and Mtskheta was capital of the early Georgian Kingdom of Iberia during the 3rd century BC – 5th century AD. It was the site of early Cristian activity, and the location where Christianity was proclaimed the state religion of Georgia in 317. Mtskheta still remains the headquarters of the Georgian orthodox and Apostolic Church.

Sveticxoveli – one of the biggest Christian temple in Georgia
– was erected in the 11th c in the same place where the first
Christian church in Georgia stood in the 4th c.
- Departure to Gori – city in eastern Georgia, which serves as the regional capital of Shida Kartli. Gori was an important military stronghold in the middle ages. Town is also known as the birthplace of the Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin.

According to archaeological findings of men here goes back to the first millennium B.C. In the II-I millenniums one of the strongest community residing here, used the natural caves on their dwellings. In X-VI centuries B.C. Uplistsikhe is the residence of the strongest community and the strongest community and the fortress of the leader of the tribe (upali-leader) from where comes the name Uplistsikhe.

Bolnisi Sioni - oldest Christian structure
in Georgia located in small city of Kvemo Kartli region. This three-nave basilica church dates to
the 5th century AD and features some pagan elements in its stonework. The original roof is
missing but has been replaced with a modern covering. A dedication inscription from the Bolnisi church, carved in the late 5th
century, is one of the oldest dated
specimens of Georgian writing.

Dmanisi - archaeological site in Kvemo Kartli region. This area had been
settled since the Early Bronze Age. After Extensive archaeological
studies beyond a rich collection of ancient and medieval artefacts and the ruins of
various buildings and structures, unique remains of prehistoric animals and humans have been unearthed. The
fascinating fossil hominin skulls were found at Dmanisi
between 1991 and 2005. They represent a stage soon after the transition
between Australopithecus and Homo erectus, and have been dated at 1.8
million years before the present.
